The ballad of Hope and Sorrow

Long ago and far away
there was a land called Umernay
where the wild was free and nature green
They knew nothing of Sorrow

The people followed a mighty queen
her name was Hope, only peace she singed
life was well and stories sung
No one knew of Sorrow

Then there came that faithful night
out came a knight that thought not of light
his heart was cold and eyes of ice
In his wake was Sorrow

All could see his greyish fate
with him followed a heavy weight
children cried at this dreadful sight
They only thought of Sorrow

The queen now gathered her courage guard
and rode to stop the chased one
to claim back what her name involved
And bring an end to Sorrow

They searched up high, they searched down low
to find whom no one wanted for
but nowhere they this creature saw
Yet everywhere was Sorrow

Hope found him when she was alone
he stared right into her shining soul
slight a tremble she would not show
As she faced his Sorrow

She asked whom do you really think you are
to plague these lands with your hurtful scars
you light our fear and dim the sun
You bring nothing but Sorrow

He said I come from a blooming home
with troves of love and dreams of gold
yet all was lost only pain prolonged
And now my name is Sorrow

Hope believed his story true
saw his face in a light anew
her heart was racing feelings grew
For the one named Sorrow

First he flinched from her reaching hand
wanting fully to feel again
afraid he was of moving on
For all he knew was Sorrow

 Carefully they start to dance
turning slowly with humble hands
caringly they make amends
Forever Hope and Sorrow

The captain of her royal guard
saw them close but from afar
he threw his spear to avoid her harmed
And put an end to Sorrow

His life ran out in her loving arms
she cried out all the pain it brought
her eyes turned ice and her heart turned cold

And now her name is Sorrow

Livets fall

Jag faller än, faller igen, faller. Faller för dig, faller för frestelsen, snubblar, blir kastad omkull, faller. Faller av tyngden, faller igenom För ingenting finns där inunder. Strävar efter någonting att hålla mig fast allt jag får i min hand smulas i en hast Det tillfälliga tyget brast under tyngden av tårar berget i sikte var blott en illusion Vinden brusar i havets långa ton Trösten varade den korta stund du log Ögat ser ned i avgrundens djup, smärtan ekar i vågorna sju. Kroppen kraftigt mot väggarna slår, det finns inte längre någon del utan sår. Påtvingad tystnad ryter där ilskan har makt, tröttheten lockar själen att lämna sin plats. Händer som älskar försöker hålla mig fast, halkar på missmod som läckt från min famn. Fallet är välbekant, det enda jag nu minns. Kanske är det inte värt att hålla fast vid någonting. Med inget att förlora sjunger kylan i varje ben, isande taggar i varje ven. Med ansiktet vänt nedåt faller...

Winterspring

WinterSpring, I can feel it in the air, the smell of snow and rotting leafs, the winter clinging with icy hands, darkness lingers, not fully banned. Light gently reveals the casualties of last year, the bodies of plants that died without fear. Protecting their children that grows down below, sacrificing themselves to fight of the cold. The earth now crumbles, slowly to show, the miracle of life that never stalls. Winters sleep heavily withdraws, dreams are wakening to make you walk tall. The moon so brilliant watches it all, the Goddess is pleased, her circle is cast. It shines with might, her ritual calls, to give what is hers and the Gods at last. A blessed dance to focus the rite, an act of love to fill the earth right. Summer is coming, anticipation soars, just put your ear to the ground and feel the roar.

Isens strid

Isens välde sträcker sig Inte ens syster snön får dela dess plats Likt ett böljande hav över land Ligger den slumrande med hård hand Jag sitter i min fyr och ser Om natten hörs vida dess dån De slumrande andarna tar sin rätt Styrd med sömn hålls lågan släckt Träden rasslar så tyst av iver Våren kommer avlägset med livet Vi kan känna dess ankomst, i bröstet ett muller De levande drömmer om de vaknas under Jag sitter i min fyr och känner Min evighet snart tar vid De slumrande andarna flyr hoppets värme De hade velat hålla sitt grepp i evig tid Snart de får sin chans igen Tålamod är deras driv Men fram till dess ska jag ta det stora klivet Att fritt få flyga i livets stunder Tills isen greppar taget åter När jag faller i den bekanta slummern Då kan jag drömma om friheten i mitt liv För alltid leende under isens strid
